We are seeking a competent Bookkeeper to join our team in Norwood, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This position involves working on-site and is a temp to perm employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records.

• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Handle the review of paid bills against open purchase orders, investigating any discrepancies and closing out any paid purchase orders.

• Perform a three-way match between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.

• Conduct vendor account reconciliations as needed.

• Manage accounts receivable, including sales reconciliation, cash applications, billing, and collections.

• Review bank activities to ensure timely postings of all cash transactions.

• Process all credit card reconciliations and expense reports.

• Assist in the integration of Concur, understanding general ledger mapping and expense categories.

• Issue annual 1099's as required.

• Provide assistance in various ad hoc projects such as trial balance clean-up for accounts receivable and accounts payable, chart of accounts clean-up, and automation of daily tasks.


This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and a strong background in Full Charge Bookkeeping and Accounts Payable.

• Proficient in using QuickBooks accounting software.

• Experience with Full Charge Bookkeeping.

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential.
