We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Wells, MN. If you are passionate about working with children and helping them thrive, we would love to hear from you
Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide essential health services to students in a school environment, working closely with other staff to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer basic nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and monitoring health conditions.
- Work with the school health team to develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with medical needs.
- Assist with daily health screenings, including temperature checks, monitoring symptoms, and managing chronic health conditions like asthma or diabetes.
- Respond to health emergencies and provide appropriate care until further medical assistance is available.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation of care provided to students, adhering to all confidentiality and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to ensure the best care for students.
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
Qualifications:
- Education:Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Licensure:Current and valid LPN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Experience:Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric care is a plus, but not required.
- Skills:Excellent clinical skills, ability to multitask, and strong interpersonal communication.
