Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a motivated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school district in Charleston, SC. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential speech and language services to students with communication disorders. This is a full-time position that offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in implementing therapy plans for students with speech and language difficulties.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Assist in the preparation of therapy materials and equipment.
- Support the SLP in conducting screenings and informal assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure students' speech and language needs are addressed within the educational environment.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
- Valid South Carolina SLPA licensure.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
