Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will primarily perform preventive maintenance on equipment that manufactures metal building components, including machines such as folders, slitters, and wrapping machines. You will ensure the efficient operation of these machines through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery.
  • Use and interpret technical drawings, prints, and schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) as well as verbal instructions.
  • Fabricate, maintain, join, and cut ferrous and nonferrous metal parts and structures using various techniques.
  • Weld and cut all types of material using electric arc, oxyacetylene, or other welding techniques in horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Work at other facilities, weekends, other shifts, and be on call as needed.
  • Read tape measures, perform basic mathematical calculations, and use calculators.
Essential Skills
  • High School diploma and minimum of three years of relative work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair AC and DC controls, devices, and machines.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC controls, functions, and operation.
  • Experience with 480v systems.
  • Proficiency in using and interpreting technical drawings, prints, and schematics.
  • Welding and cutting skills using electric arc, oxyacetylene, or other techniques.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00
