Job Duties:

  • Conduct intake assessments and complete required opening documentation (e.g., Integrated Biopsychosocial forms).
  • Gather information from multiple sources, including clients, family members, and official records.
  • Develop comprehensive, person-centered treatment plans with the consumer and treatment team.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Perform face-to-face clinical interventions with assigned consumers at least monthly.
  • Conduct crisis planning, parent education, coaching, and training.
  • Provide referrals for services and community resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, schools, and other support personnel for comprehensive care.
  • Advocate for the child and family to meet their needs and achieve self-sufficiency.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and program evaluation.
  • Complete clinical records and agency documentation promptly.
  • Maintain appropriate licensure and complete 24 hours of child/adolescent-specific training annually.
  • Provide a minimum of 23 hours of billable services weekly.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Must hold or obtain Michigan licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, or LLP).
  • Full licensure (LMSW, LP, or LPC) is preferred.
  • Must meet Michigan Department of Community Health requirements for a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) within 120 days of hire.
  • At least one year of experience in evaluating and treating minors and families.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
