Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as a Shipping Coordinator/Material Handler responsible for receiving and entering customer orders, generating all necessary shipping documents, assembling, packaging, and shipping orders, samples, and supplies. The role also includes maintaining accurate records of daily shipments and product distribution by lot number and customer.

Responsibilities

• Receive mail-in or telephone orders, assign sales order numbers, enter into computer-based Order Entry module, and generate all necessary shipping documents.
• Assemble, package, and ship standing and open orders in compliance with government regulations, approved company procedures, and commercial carrier’s special instructions.
• Issue invoices.
• Maintain inventory for Finished Goods, supplies, and shipping materials. Reconcile periodic inventory audits and cycle counts with computer-based inventory records, maintaining at least 95% accuracy.
• Provide management with stock status and other reports as requested.
• Maintain updated, accurate customer account records such as Ship To, Bill To, Price, Shipping Schedule, Special Handling Instructions, contact name, telephone number, and fax number.
• Provide professional service to customers and prospective customers who place or inquire about orders, stock status, shipping and delivery, prices, or who voice concerns about products or services. Attempt to resolve all matters on a timely basis. Refer product complaints to employees responsible for complaint handling.
• Function as a back-up for the Receiving Department whenever circumstances require support.
• Maintain Finished Goods inventory and shipping areas in a clean and orderly condition and in compliance with government regulations and approved company policies.

Essential Skills

• Experience in inventory and shipping & receiving.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
• Knowledge of lot numbers and expirations.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries such as Medical Device, Pharma, or Aerospace.
• Proficient documentation skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills (written and verbal).
• Inventory and cycle counting experience.
• Good computer skills for data entry to update inventory systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive work environment.
• Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours.
• Must be able to wear latex gloves throughout the shift (non-latex can be provided).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prefer candidates with experience working with an ERP system.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing environment is very clean and climate controlled. There is a Frozen Storage area maintained at -22 degrees where the candidate will occasionally need to move products. They will only be in this area for very short periods at a time (1-2 minutes), and a jacket will be provided.
