Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Opportunity:
We are seeking an accurate and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. Having a typing speed of 60-70 WPM with an accuracy of 85% is a must, but higher speeds & accuracies are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate Typing Proficiency: Maintain a typing speed of 60-70 WPM with a minimum of 85% accuracy.
• Transcribe Medical Reports: Accurately convert voice recordings from neurologists and other healthcare professionals into written reports, including patient histories, diagnostic results, and clinical summaries.
• Ensure Accuracy: Meticulously review and edit medical reports, identifying and correcting errors, filling in missing information, and ensuring consistency.
• Meet Performance Goals: Maintain a high level of productivity while adhering to quality and speed standards.
• Customize Report Templates: Create and update report templates to comply with industry regulations.
• Maintain Confidentiality: Strictly adhere to HIPAA and all patient confidentiality requirements.
• Perform Quality Checks: Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and compliance of medical documents.
• Handle Priority Tasks: Efficiently manage urgent requests and meet deadlines for time-sensitive cases.
• Leverage Technology: Utilize speech recognition software, listening to recordings and editing drafts to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Transcriptionist, with a focus on neurology preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, particularly related to neurology.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.  
• Must be able to commute to our Downtown Salt Lake City location.
