Position Type: Full-Time (7:40 AM - 2:50 PM)
Grade Level: K-4

Job Overview:
An exciting Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for multiple elementary positions in Delton, MI. The district is looking for certified teachers to work with K-4 students in a Resource (pull-out and push-in) model. With a caseload of 15-20 students, youll have the opportunity to make a real impact on their educational experience. CI certification is preferred, though teachers with an EI certification or those currently working towards certification are encouraged to apply.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide both pull-out and push-in support for K-4 students.
  • Create and implement IEPs, goals, and progress reports.
  • Work closely with general education teachers to ensure the success of students in inclusive settings.
  • Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and parent conferences to discuss student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Michigan Special Education Certification (CI preferred, EI accepted).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
