Our growing client is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team based in Hendersonville, Tennessee. This is a contract to hire opportunity in the construction industry. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, month end close procedures, fixed asset rollforwards, and maintaining general ledgers.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee the processing of transactions and P& L analysis

• Utilize software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations

• Collaborate with the team to consolidate data and ensure GAAP compliance

• Participate in monthly end close procedures

• Provide support to the CFO and the Director of Finance as needed


• Must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software such as QuickBooks and NetSuite (company is transitioning from QB to NetSuite currently)

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

• Knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.

• Ability to prepare and record journal entries.

• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification would be a plus
