Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Company Overview:

We are a well-established commercial contractor serving the DFW area, specializing in new construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Med Gas Plumber to join our dynamic team. This position is integral to the installation, maintenance, and inspection of medical gas systems for commercial buildings.

Job Description:

As a Journeyman Med Gas Plumber, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate installation, maintenance, and inspection of medical gas systems in commercial new construction projects. The ideal candidate must be a licensed Journeyman Plumber with a Med Gas endorsement and have extensive experience in commercial plumbing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install & Certify Medical Gas Systems: Install, test, and certify medical gas piping systems in compliance with Texas regulations and industry standards.
• Work with Specialized Materials: Handle copper piping and utilize brazing, soldering, and other specialized techniques for med gas system installations.
• Blueprint & Specification Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure precise installation.
• Collaborate Across Trades: Work alongside other trades to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems within the overall building project.
• Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections and tests to verify the integrity, safety, and compliance of medical gas systems.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure job site organization.
• Leadership: Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices and junior plumbers, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Journeyman Plumber License: Must have a valid Texas Journeyman Plumber license with a Med Gas endorsement.
• Commercial New Construction Experience: Proven experience working on commercial construction projects with a focus on medical gas systems.
• Knowledge of Regulations & Codes: Strong understanding of medical gas installation codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Blueprint Reading: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Team Player & Independent Worker: Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
