Job Description

This position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment. The role includes troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing pumps, valves, piping, tanks, fittings, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and more. The technician may also assist with buying and obtaining parts, as well as performing facilities work including changing lights, plumbing, and HVAC. Additionally, the role involves installing or replacing meters, regulators, and other related measuring and control devices. The ideal candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pumps, valves, piping, tanks, fittings, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, etc.
  • Assist with purchasing and obtaining parts as needed.
  • Perform facilities work including changing lights, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Install or replace meters, regulators, and other related measuring and control devices.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Skills
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Maintenance technician experience
  • Mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience with water treatment and wastewater systems
  • Basic arithmetic calculations
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Valid driver's license
  • Adherence to safety practices and procedures
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in industrial or domestic wastewater treatment preferred
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned
