Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to provide shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at our facility. Must not be afraid of heights due to training on cherry picker forklift.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
• Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the quality, type, and amount of materials received, and ensuring the appropriate documentation is present.
• Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures, including room temperature (59-86 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and freezer-room (minus 4 - 23 degrees F).
• Operate distribution equipment as required.
• Satisfactorily complete training requirements and operate within all standards pertaining to site distribution, including control of documents and quality policy.
• Communicate effectively with internal personnel and provide good customer service.
• Understand and interpret team metrics and recognize deviations from accepted practices.
• Consistently follow policies, procedures, and instructions to meet schedules.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 0-2 years related experience.
• Ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures.
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights.
• Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in logistics with a life science company preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Not afraid of heights as training on cherry picker forklift will be provided.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a warehouse environment under various temperatures, performing highly repetitive tasks. You will walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs on a continuous basis and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. The noise level is usually moderate to high. Flexibility in working varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed is required. Local travel may be necessary. This is a Contract position based out of Greencastle, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50
