Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' abilities and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific requirements.
  • Provide therapy services to improve students' motor, sensory, and perceptual skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure the integration of therapy goals into the classroom setting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of students' progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs.
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education to provide high-quality services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality therapy services to students with diverse needs.
