Our rapidly growing accounting services client is seeking a Controller level consultant, fully remote, to provide services to their clients. This role involves working in the manufacturing industry, specifically technology manufacturing. The Controller will be tasked with numerous responsibilities related to financial management, inventory control (raw materials, WIP and FG), and system conversion planning.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.

• Undertake a clean-up of financial records including intercompany transactions dating back to 2017 in preparation for an IPO.

• Develop and present consolidated financial statements to provide a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial position.

• Work with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient reporting of financial data.

• Eventually direct the creation and submission of 10k and 10q for SEC reporting in the long term.

• Oversee WIP - Work In Progress and inventory cycle operations in the manufacturing context.

• Lead potential system implementation projects and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Manage and maintain accurate records of customer credit applications and transactions.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Must hold a minimum of 15 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position.
• Proficient in WIP - Work In Progress.
• Experienced in conducting Annual Inventory and Annual Physical Inventory.
• Knowledgeable in Cycle Count procedure.
• Ability to handle Intercompany Transactions.
• Must have hands-on experience in Intercompany Accounting.
• Expertise in preparing Consolidated Financial reports.
• Capable of managing Month-end Close Activities.
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment is crucial.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
