We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consulting Armenian Speaking Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This exciting opportunity involves working in a fast-paced, challenging environment, where you will utilize your experience and expertise in compounding, cancer care, oncology, and Armenian language proficiency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to Armenian-speaking patients, ensuring their medication needs are met and their questions answered.
- Utilize your compounding skills to prepare personalized medications for patients, according to prescriptions from medical doctors.
- Use your knowledge in cancer care and oncology to assist in the management and treatment of cancer patients, including advising on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team in Armenian to ensure a seamless healthcare experience.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions, discuss patient medication histories, and advise on drug selection and usage.
- Monitor patient therapy and provide medication therapy management, including identifying potential medication-related problems and preventing medication errors.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in pharmaceutical care, oncology, and compounding, and participate in continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a focus on compounding, cancer care, and oncology.
- Proficiency in Armenian, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug uses, therapies, and terminology.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical software and technology is a plus.
