Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after cath lab procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
- Assist physicians with catheterization procedures, including prepping and positioning patients, managing sterile fields, and handling specialized equipment.
- Administer medications, including contrast agents and sedatives, as prescribed, and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with the cardiology team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and support regarding procedures and post-procedure care.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in New York
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and protocols
- Ability to handle complex procedures and critical situations
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
