Full-Time School Social Worker (Hybrid Position)
Location: Walpole, Massachusetts

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our team in Walpole, MA. This full-time position serves students in grades K12, providing critical social, emotional, and behavioral support to help them thrive academically and personally. This hybrid role allows for a flexible work environment, with a minimum of two days per week onsite to build meaningful connections with students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support:

    • Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
    • Develop strategies to help students manage challenges that impact their academic performance.
    • Intervene during crises and provide immediate support and referrals as needed.

  • Collaboration:

    • Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement intervention plans.
    • Work closely with other school-based professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student well-being.
    • Advocate for students and connect them to appropriate community resources and services.

  • Program Development:

    • Design and lead workshops or programs focusing on mental health, peer relationships, conflict resolution, and coping strategies.
    • Promote an inclusive and supportive school culture by addressing equity and social justice issues.

  • Compliance and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including assessments, intervention plans, and progress reports.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including those related to child welfare and mandated reporting.
    • Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, contributing insights related to students' social-emotional needs.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts (required).
  • Prior experience working with K12 students, particularly in a school or educational setting (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of mental health resources, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid schedule with at least two days per week onsite to work directly with students and staff.
  • Flexible remote work opportunities for administrative tasks, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues.

Compensation:

  • Competitive pay starting at $38 per hour for candidates meeting all qualifications.
  • Additional compensation available based on experience and certifications.
