Welder/Fitter 

Pay Rate: $27–$31/Hour

Adecco is assisting a local client in their search for a skilled and experienced Welder/Fitter Level 3 to join their team. This full-time position offers opportunities for growth and professional development in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in advanced welding techniques, pipe welding, and quality inspection, ensuring the production of high-quality pipe products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform carbon steel pipe welds using the Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) process, with occasional use of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) when necessary.
• Execute stainless steel welds using the SMAW process per established procedures.
• Clean, grind, inspect, and repair welds as needed before advancing products to the next stage.
• Complete all welds in the 6G position using fixtures and rotating equipment.
• Apply welder stamps for traceability and ensure proper documentation of all work.
• Follow drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant welds.
• Maintain detailed and accurate inspection and operational records, submitting them to supervisors at the end of each workday.
• Adhere to company procedures, safety protocols, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Report unsafe equipment, and ensure the workspace is neat and clean.
• Utilize flame-cutting equipment as instructed.

Safety Equipment Requirements:
Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory and will be provided as needed. Required safety equipment includes:

• Auto-darkening welding helmet
• Hearing protection
• Safety shoes (Met-Guard type)
• Face shield (as required)
• Safety glasses
• Flame-retardant clothing (e.g., leather apron)
• Welding gloves

Education and Skills Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Qualified in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) for carbon steel.
• Qualified in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) for carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Experience with MIG aluminum welding is an asset.
• Proficient in operating hand and power tools safely.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• 5–10 years of experience in a pipe fabrication environment.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates will participate in a hands-on interview, including a 6G weld test and blueprint reading assessment.

Schedule:
Full-Time: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional Friday work.
