Job Description

A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and restock inventory, dispatch, and manage overstock
  • Load and unload materials from trucks
  • Break down boxes and package items for shipment
  • Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders
  • Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed
  • Package items for shipment
  • Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry (rolling stairs may range from 7-15 steps long)
Essential Skills
  • Experience with RF scanners
  • Proficiency in picking and packaging
  • Ability to use pallet jacks for loading and unloading
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
  • Experience in shipping and receiving
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders, about 5-7 steps (rarely 15 ft stair ladder)
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat
  • Comfortable moving in a fast-paced environment and working individually (self-motivated)

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to forklifts and other machinery running through the facility. The position is for the 2nd shift from 2PM-10:30PM, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Employees must wear plain shirts, jeans (no holes), and closed-toed shoes. No logos for beer, alcohol, etc.
