Information Security Officer

My client has a remote opening for an Information Security Officer. This is a newly created role within the organization and position will involve the following:

  • Management of the companies information security program
  • Oversight and security of information assets
  • Implementation of security policies and controls
  • Ensure company adheres to regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, SOX)
  • Identify security risk and incident response
  • Develop company security strategy
  • Establish internal procedures and guidelines (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR etc)
  • Risk remediation
  • Implement security technology such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint security, encryption
  • Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Work with internal audit teams and external regulators
  • Enact data privacy and protection initiatives
  • Must have experience developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures
  • CISSP, CISM, CEH and GIAC certs are preferred
