Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment within the plant. The role involves a significant amount of greasing and performing preventive maintenance on bearings, conveyors, and rollers. You will also be responsible for electrical troubleshooting and repair when applicable. This position includes an 8,000-hour company-funded Department of Labor Maintenance Mechanic apprenticeship program. The work environment is hot, loud, dirty, and dusty, similar to a foundry. The plant is currently undergoing significant upgrades, including the addition of a large new glass line.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct reactive maintenance as needed.
  • Grease bearings, conveyors, and rollers.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair if applicable.
  • Participate in the breakdown and teardown of lines during the upgrade process.
  • Work in a hot, loud, dirty, and dusty environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in the apprenticeship program.
  • Presentation and communication skills.
  • Courses or classes related to maintenance are beneficial.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61256.00 - $72571.00
