Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about numbers? We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial records. In this role, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and processing transactions. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of accounting principles, we’d love to hear from you

Onsite position - Pinehurst or Southern Pines, NC
$45-52K

Primary Purpose
Provide bookkeeping services including all provisions of GAAP, which ensuring compliance with company financial policies. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of our company.

Qualifications
Education
• High school diploma or GED
• 60 semester college hours in business or accounting preferred

Skills & Experience
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Working knowledge of software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting/bookkeeping systems
• Strong organizational skills Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years general office experience
• Two to 5 years of full-charge computerized bookkeeping experience in a business or comparable environment

Major Responsibilities and Duties
• Maintain all financial records by accounting for all financial records, including general ledger, cash balance, detailed accounts, and subsidiary journals.
• Maintain all financial records on computer utilizing company-approved software.
• Process all financial transactions in accordance with company financial procedures and policies.
• Process and account for all money generated and distributed.
• Serve as recourse for on financial management issues.
• Reconcile all bank accounts; report reconciliations in company-approved format and under company guidelines.
• Provide analytical data and reporting for various company-directed projects in computer spreadsheet formats.
• Participate in audits with the company internal auditor.
• Participate as an effective team member who contributes to company, department, and content goals.
• Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
• Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
• Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
• Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
• Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
• Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, supervisors and co-workers.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the department are met.
• Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
• Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
