The successful candidate will be responsible for performing work in our plant, moving metal parts through various processes to prepare them for delivery to the end customer. This multi-faceted role will involve loading and setting up machines using process manuals, unloading machines, checking quality, cleaning work areas, and moving material around the facility. You may also be required to unload trucks and operate a forklift occasionally. There will be daily interaction with the lead, discussing and understanding the day's orders and tasks. You will also be responsible for visually and physically inspecting parts to ensure top quality before packing them for customer delivery.
Responsibilities- Load and set up machines using process manuals
- Unload machines and check quality of parts
- Clean work areas and move materials around the facility
- Unload trucks and occasionally operate a forklift
- Interact daily with the lead to understand orders and tasks
- Visually and physically inspect parts before packing for customer delivery
- Mechanical aptitude (e.g., working on car transmissions/engines)
- Experience in a production environment that follows manual processes
- Good attention to detail for quality checks
- Ability to lift 50 lbs during shifts
- Steel-toed shoes
- 1st shift: 7am -3:30pm

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a small, organized, and clean manufacturing floor with a family-like atmosphere. The shift runs from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility required for overtime, potentially extending to 10-12 hours per day. The environment can get dusty from the machining process, but regular cleaning keeps it manageable. The temperature can reach 80-85F on hot days, and the site does not have AC. Personal protective equipment required includes steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection in some areas, and gloves. Casual attire such as jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt is acceptable for this role.
