Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Paraprofessional to join our team in Wyandotte, OK, for the 2024-2025 school year. As a paraprofessional, you will work alongside teachers and staff to support students' academic and social development, providing individualized attention and assisting with classroom activities. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping students thrive and have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom management, instructional activities, and lesson reinforcement
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those with special needs or learning differences
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of certified teachers
• Support students in developing positive social skills and behaviors
• Supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other school activities
• Assist in preparing and organizing classroom materials
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher in education or related field preferred
• Experience working with children, especially in an educational setting, is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students
