Job Description

We are seeking general labor candidates for our Truss WL plant. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, power tools, and tape measure usage. This role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, punctuality, consistent attendance, professionalism, self-motivation, and initiative.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
  • Use hand tools for various tasks.
  • Assist with a variety of functions involving manual labor tasks as needed.
  • Handle materials on the manufacturing floor outside of the warehouse setting.
  • Encompass a variety of production-related roles that do not require the use of hand tools or specialty skills.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with power tools and tape measures.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Professionalism and self-motivation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in general production, material handling, and using hand tools.

Work Environment

The work environment requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and ear plugs. Shifts include: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday with some Fridays, or 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM Monday through Thursday with some Fridays. The second shift includes a $2 shift differential. Random drug screens and biweekly pay are part of the employment conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, Alabama.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
