Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time contract position in Cumming, GA. This school-based role offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of special education students and their families. To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements set by local and state regulations. Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred.

Requirements:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
  • Experience working with special education students and their families.
  • Understanding of local and state regulations pertaining to school-based physical therapy services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the educational team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to students.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' physical therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' goals and objectives.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure coordinated care and support for students.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding students' physical therapy needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and professional development activities as required.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice at all times.
