We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and support our commitment to enhancing students' communication and learning abilities.

Position Overview:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide exceptional speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs. You will assess students communication abilities, develop individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support their educational and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    Conduct comprehensive assessments of students speech and language skills. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals based on findings and student needs.

  • Therapeutic Intervention:
    Deliver direct speech and language therapy, including articulation therapy, language intervention, and communication strategies. Design activities to enhance communication skills and support academic success.

  • Collaboration:
    Partner with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom and daily routines. Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations for communication supports and modifications.

  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain accurate records of therapy plans, progress notes, and session details. Prepare reports for IEP meetings, progress reviews, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Professional Development:
    Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and special education. Engage in training and development to refine your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in a school setting or with children with diverse needs is preferred. Familiarity with IEP development is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in speech-language pathology principles and best practices.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to students unique needs.
