Procare Therapy is working with a district in the South Hadley, MA area who is in need of an Elementary Special Education Teacher If you are interested in a change, read below

School Special Education Teacher Qualifications:

  • Special Education Teacher License in MA
  • Mod/Severe License Preferred
  • School-based experience is a major plus
  • Ability to pass a background check


This is a W-2 contracted position

JobDetails:

  • Full-time
    • 32.5-35 hours/week
  • Full School Year
  • ASAP Start- End of School Year
  • Grades: 2nd-4th
  • Some nonverbal kids on caseload, 1 student on palliative care in a wheelchair and legally blind (this student has a nurse and a para)
  • Self-Contained Classroom, students do push in to gen-ed a couple hours out of the day
  • Paras in the classroom to support
  • Workload: Case managing, IEPs, support staff, direct instruction, and ensuring the IEP is being implemented
  • Caseload size: No more than 10 kids
