Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Patent Attorney for a long-term contract in the pharmaceutical industry based in Warren, New Jersey. The role entails a plethora of responsibilities involving patent applications, collaboration with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment of patent activities with business objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patentability, landscape, and whitespace examinations to aid internal stakeholders.
• Oversee the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Engage with stakeholders and external counsel to review and provide responses to patent examination communications.
• Attend and contribute to internal meetings to gather necessary information for patent preparation and prosecution.
• Provide patent strategy expertise during internal meetings.
• Ensure patent activities are in line with business objectives while maintaining statutory compliance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and external counsel to streamline patent preparation and prosecution processes.
• Utilize skills in Biopharmaceuticals, Small Molecules, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Intellectual Property - Patent law to enhance patent processes.
• Utilize Microsoft, Adobe Acrobat, and EFS-Web in performing daily tasks and responsibilities.• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Patent Attorney in the pharmaceutical industry.
• A Juris Doctor degree is required.
• Must be a Licensed Attorney.
• Expertise in Biopharmaceuticals, Small Molecules, Chemistry, and Biochemistry.
• Proficient in Intellectual Property - Patent, Patent Law, Patent Application, Patent Prosecution, and Patent Preparation.
• Prior experience using Microsoft and Adobe Acrobat software.
• Familiarity with EFS-Web is necessary.
• Ability to strategize and lead patent portfolio development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a strong attention to detail and high level of organization.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Must demonstrate high ethical standards and professional integrity.
