Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in the market for a experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Carson, California. The Sr. Accountant will be a pivotal player in our finance team, with tasks ranging from managing customer accounts to ensuring compliance with SOX controls. This role is pivotal in the manufacturing and aerospace industry, where meticulous financial management and reporting are vital.

Responsibilities:

• Execute full cycle GL accounting with precision and in a timely manner
• Conduct month-end close procedures and create journal entries
• Handle bank reconciliations with a focus on inventory and fixed assets
• Oversee fixed assets requests and generate status reports for capital projects
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management review
• Conduct detailed analysis and variance analysis to support decision-making processes
• Ensure compliance with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley controls to maintain financial integrity
• Prepare DVP reports as required
• Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning
• Leverage skills in 'Month End Close', 'Journal Entries', 'Budgeting', 'Budgeting - Forecasting', 'SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley', 'Variance Analysis', 'Financial Reporting', 'Fixed Assets', 'Bank Reconciliations', 'Capital Assets' to excel in the role.• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in performing Month End Close and Journal Entries.
• Demonstrated skills in Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Familiarity with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance.
• Proven ability to conduct Variance Analysis.
• Experience in Financial Reporting and handling Fixed Assets.
• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Knowledge of managing Capital Assets.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
