Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid - 3 to 5 days onsite per month, with more frequent visits during the first month)

Overview:
Our client, a leading organization in the finance sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Process Analyst to join their Finance Department. This role is integral in supporting financial programs, identifying process gaps, and documenting risk and control points within the client's bank operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, hands-on experience with controls frameworks, and a keen ability to collaborate with subject matter experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis & Documentation: Analyze end-to-end business processes affecting the Finance Department, documenting process flows, descriptions, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.

  • Risk & Control Identification: Identify critical points within processes, assess potential risks, and propose effective control measures.

  • Program Gap Analysis: Evaluate program requirements to detect and address any operational gaps that may impact the Finance Department.

  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure that all process improvements align with the organization's financial and operational goals.

  • Process Mapping: Use tools like Lucid or Visio to create accurate and comprehensive process maps for large, cross-departmental workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Accounting, etc.)

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business process analysis within the financial services or banking industry.

  • Finance/Accounting Knowledge: Strong background in finance or accounting to support banking processes.

  • Process Mapping Skills: Proficiency in Lucid or Visio to document and map complex business processes.

  • Controls Framework Experience: Solid hands-on experience in applying controls frameworks to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with banking regulations and the ability to conduct compliance research.

  • Change Management: Knowledge of change management principles to support process improvement initiatives.

  • Methodologies: Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Toyota Production System (TPS), or other continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Documentation Proficiency: Skilled in producing detailed, organized documentation for process flows and risk assessments.

This position is a 9-month contract with the potential for extension. Standard working hours apply, with minimal overtime expected.
