We are seeking Machine Operators who can handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and working in fast-paced environments. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and operate machinery safely with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:

Lifting & Transporting Materials:

  • Carry and lift 40-50 lb bags of onions, frozen meat trays, and other materials, repeatedly.
  • Move materials in and out of freezers to organize inventory and supply the production line.
  • Handle tasks like unpacking buns, sorting them by top and bottom, and placing them on the production line.
  • Stack, tape, and wrap boxes of completed products, then place skids in freezers for shipment.

Operating on Production Line:

  • Learn and perform various roles on the line, ensuring smooth production flow.
  • Monitor sealing of packages and ensure they move efficiently to the conveyor belt.

Forklift Operation:

  • Operate a sit-down forklift to move large bags around the warehouse.
  • Use a safety knife to cut and empty bags into designated areas, manage plastic flake regrinding, and weigh/tag boxes.

Other Tasks:

  • ​​​​Complete necessary quality checks and ensure the production process meets company standards.
  • Stand and walk on concrete for long periods, in varying temperatures (cold/hot).
  • Perform basic math to calculate and adjust production specifications, relay information to co-workers and management.

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform bending, pushing, and pulling activities.
  • Comfort working in cold and hot environments, including frequent entry into freezers.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods on concrete floors.

Schedule:

  • Must be available for 12-hour rotating shifts, working up to 48 hours per week, including weekends.
  • First shift typically starts at 3:45 AM or 5:30 AM, with later shifts available.
  • A $1.50 shift differential applies to hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Forklift license required.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred, especially in food manufacturing or working with pressurized machinery.
