Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of an Attorney/Lawyer to be a part of our wholesale distribution team located in HOFFMAN ESTATES, Illinois. The selected candidate will be instrumental in handling various legal matters related to the business, including drafting and negotiating contracts, dealing with OEM partners, and interacting with home warranty companies. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Drafting and reviewing retail and marketing contracts to ensure legal compliance and protect the company's interests.
• Working closely with OEM partners to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met.
• Handling legal matters related to home warranty companies.
• Drafting and negotiating warehouse agreements and supply agreements.
• Applying expertise in TCPA (not critical but beneficial) to advise the company on relevant matters.
• Engaging in commercial negotiations and managing contract renewals.
• Using case management software and document management systems to maintain accurate records and manage workflows.
• Communicating effectively with clients and addressing their inquiries and concerns.
• Utilizing skills in civil litigation, complaint handling, and claim administration.
• Leveraging knowledge of commercial contracts and contract negotiation to protect the company's interests and mitigate legal risks.• Possess a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Be licensed to practice law in the state.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry.
• Proficiency in using 3M, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software.
• Experience in using Conveyancer and document management systems.
• Demonstrate excellent briefing skills and experience in civil litigation.
• Proven expertise in claim administration and complaint handling.
• Have knowledge of consumer electronics and commercial contracts.
• Proficiency in client communications, contract renewals, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation and understanding of Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) processes.
• Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
• Willingness to keep up with advancements in the field of law and adapt to changes in laws and regulations.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
