Summary: Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a PE license for designing and checking electrical systems in a healthcare setting.

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in electrical engineering and design of building electrical systems, preferably in a healthcare setting

  • Must possess a PE license

  • Proficiency in Autocad, Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM)

  • Familiarity with local, state and national code requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with NFPA 99, FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities, NFPA 45 and similar industry standards

  • Experience or working knowledge of lighting and electrical load analysis software

  • Knowledge of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is considered a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Design, layout and check electrical systems drawings ensuring compliance with job, federal, state and local standards and codes

  • Develop specifications, assign area classifications, review shop drawing submissions to ensure compliance with necessary codes and standards as well as project design intent

  • Perform site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings

  • Provide field construction support as required

  • Regularly review projects to ensure consistency with departmental standards, client requirements and project budget



Pay Details: $45.00 to $65.00 per hour
