Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to service, maintain, and repair rental construction and aerial lift equipment. In this role, you will ensure that all machinery is operational, safe, and ready for rental, meeting high standards of safety and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with construction equipment, aerial lifts, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of rental construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, and aerial lifts.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment before and after rental to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts, and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to prioritize urgent repair needs.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe in accordance with company standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology, tools, and equipment advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, with experience in servicing construction equipment and aerial lifts.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Previous experience with aerial lift equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory requirements for construction equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • ASE or similar certifications are a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in diesel or automotive mechanics is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
