Special Education Teacher Autism Elementary Self-Contained Classroom Near Kellogg, GA

Location: Near Kellogg, GA

Job Overview: Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a focus on Autism for an elementary self-contained classroom near Kellogg, GA. This full-time position involves working with students with autism in a supportive and structured environment. The ideal candidate will hold the appropriate general curriculum certification and have a clean ethics record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with autism.
  • Provide instruction and support in a self-contained classroom setting, focusing on general curriculum adaptations.
  • Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to create and maintain an effective learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Valid SpEd General Curriculum Certification from GaPSC (Georgia Professional Standards Commission).
  • Experience working with students with autism in a self-contained classroom setting.
  • No ethics issues.
