Aerotek Is Hiring For Position Of Welder/Fitter -Located At Spokane Valley

Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders to join our team, with openings for both high-level and entry-level candidates. As a Welder/Fitter, you will be responsible for creating custom stacking equipment for lumber mills using hard wire and flux core wire on mild steel. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team to consistently meet quality and production standards. You must be able to read and interpret blueprints or drawings, ensuring that all work is completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Weld and fit mild steel using MIG (.035 and .045 wire) and Fluxcore techniques to create stacking equipment for the lumber industry.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
  • Work independently or within a team to meet deadlines and production goals.
  • Safely lift and move materials (up to 50-75 lbs) as needed during the fabrication process.
  • Ensure all equipment is constructed to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of welding/fitting experience, specifically with MIG and Fluxcore welding.
  • Proficiency with .035 and .045 wire for welding.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings for fabrication.
  • Experience working with mild steel and various welding techniques.
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in welding for industrial equipment or the lumber industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts consistently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
