Job DescriptionJob Description

Our client, a regional leader in ground transportation, has an immediate need for qualified Field Service Technician, to join our growing team in Eau Claire.

 

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for troubleshooting existing equipment and installing new equipment at the dairies in the designated territory.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Custom fabricate hoof bath equipment. Maintain parts inventory, maintain service vehicle in clean, safe, orderly manner.
  • Survey/install/setup/program custom equipment at dairy sites.
  • Provide routine preventative maintenance to hoof bath equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair installed equipment.
  • Post all work orders promptly onto company software. (BIS)
  • Able to work efficiently with little direct supervision.
  • Willing to work long hours if needed in rural work environment.
  • Willing to travel overnight at times.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Strong equipment troubleshooting and repair ability. Industrial-type electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in plumbing, welding, and electrical work.
  • Must be able to use a computer and Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be able to communicate well in English, both writing and language.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Inspect and advise on equipment and handling of our candidates products.
  • Prefer a valid forklift certification.
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, in the state of residence, and a safe driving record meeting the company’s vehicle policy and insurability standards.
  • Survey, install, setup, and program custom equipment at customers locations.
  • Plumbing and electrical fabrication.
  • Repair and troubleshoot equipment systems that have been installed.
  • Collaborate with Sales Account Manager(s) in the field for repairs and inspections as needed.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Maintain parts inventory.
  • Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations and customer complaints to include service interruptions immediately to their supervisor.
  • Assist in other areas of the company when needed.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs.
