Job Title: School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: North of Benicia, CA

Start Date: 24/25 School Year, Now - June 11th, 2025

Job Type: Onsite, Full-Time

Caseload:K-12, 3 Schools

Position Overview:
As a School-Based COTA, you will work alongside a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver occupational therapy services to students. Your responsibilities will include implementing therapeutic interventions, assisting with assessments, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students functional and academic development. Your contributions will help students build the necessary skills for success in the classroom and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising OT in executing individualized therapy plans and interventions for students.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and adaptive techniques.
- Assist with assessments, including screenings and documentation of student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure therapy goals are integrated into students' daily activities and classroom routines.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Adhere to school policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting or a related field.
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in CA.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
