Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Assembly Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating proficiency in assembly processes, soldering techniques, and the use of various tools. The Assembly Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the assembly department, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products. The candidate must possess strong training skills to instruct and develop team members across different sections of the department, with a focus on keeping employees on task.
Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Supervision:
    • Lead and supervise the assembly department to achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards.
    • Provide guidance and direction to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  2. Training and Development:
    • Train new and existing team members in various assembly processes, including soldering, usage of tools, and reading tape measures to the 1/16" inch.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of the assembly team.
  3. Task Management:
    • Implement strategies to keep employees on task and ensure adherence to production schedules.
    • Monitor work progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to maintain workflow efficiency.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure adherence to quality control standards and procedures during the assembly process.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with management to identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
    • Streamline assembly processes to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  6. Communication:
    • Effectively communicate with team members, providing clear instructions and feedback.
    • Collaborate with other department leads and management to maintain a seamless workflow.
Requirements:
  1. Experience:
    • Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing facility is essential.
    • Proven experience in assembly processes, soldering, tool usage, and accurate measurement with a tape measure to the 1/16" inch.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in soldering techniques and knowledgeable about various assembly tools and equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  3. Training Skills:
    • Strong training and coaching abilities, with a focus on developing the skills of team members.
    • Experience in designing and implementing effective training programs.
  4. Communication and Leadership:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  5. Problem-Solving:
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Computer Skills REQUIRED:  Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel experienceEducation: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional technical or leadership training is a plus.Background: Must have a clean backgroundPay: $20+/hr depending on experienceShift: 6am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday with Friday/Saturday OT as needed
