PURPOSE OF JOB:
To assist the Distribution Warehouse in the daily execution of operations with respect to Safety, Customer Service, Cost and People.
JOB DUTIES:
Must assume a leadership role in the distribution center.
Responsibility for Overseeing as well as performing shipping and receiving of material.
Associate must have excellent attendance.
Fill in for Distribution Supervisor in their absence including key user functions.
Help organize/control, maintain 5S within Distribution.
Evaluate training/ plan(s) for new associates and temporary employees.
Provide Leadership to others through example and knowledge sharing.
Verify and check that shipments are being done in a timely manner as well as being shipped correctly.
Utilization of SAP including reporting of daily tasks.
First responder to issues impacting performance of job-related duties, escalating issues/concerns to supervisor.
NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; college degree a plus
Ability use Microsoft Office Suite, Specifically Excel
Thorough knowledge of all machines and support equipment
Capacity to analyze data & ability to problem solve
Ability & Willingness to work independently with little supervision
In depth knowledge of SAP. Capable of learning & executing system requirements withing SAP
Capacity to effectively communicate vertically &horizontally w/multiple departments
Capable of safely lifting 50lbs
Willingness to work weekends and overtime on short notice
Readiness to perform any other duties issued by the Production Manager or Supervisor.
