Position Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist for a full-time contract position for the 2024-2025 school year. The position is onsite only, working with elementary-aged students (20-40 students). This is a great opportunity for an experienced school psychologist looking for a rewarding role in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological evaluations, assessments, and testing for students.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create and implement effective strategies and interventions for students.
- Develop and deliver psychological reports for IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insight on student progress.
- Consult with staff on student mental health, behavior management, and academic challenges.
- Assist with crisis intervention and provide support for students in need of immediate assistance.
- Maintain confidential records in accordance with district policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid School Psychologist certification in Connecticut (or eligibility for licensure).
- Prior experience working as a School Psychologist in an elementary school setting preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and administrators.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for supporting student development and well-being.
- Must be able to work onsite and mit to the full term of the contract (ASAP start through June 13, 2025).
