Accounting Clerk

We are in search of a Accounting Clerk based in Fairburn, Georgia, 30213, United States. This role is part of our finance department and offers a contract employment opportunity. The primary function of this position is to handle property tax collections, respond to tax-related inquiries, and assist customers with exemption forms.

Responsibilities:

• Process collection of property taxes during the specified period

• Provide responses to inquiries regarding property tax bills

• Investigate and resolve any issues related to property tax payments

• Reconcile cash drawer daily to ensure accuracy

• Assist customers in filling out homestead exemptions forms

• Collect and process homestead exemption forms accurately

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to maintain records and process transactions

• Use Computerized Billing and EHR SYSTEM to maintain and update billing records

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) duties as required

• Respond to inbound calls from customers in a timely and detail-oriented manner

• Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Experience with computerized billing

• Understanding of accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to handle answering inbound calls

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
