Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Creston, CA
Job Description: We are seeking a full-time, onsite School Psychologist to join our team in Creston, CA. This itinerant position involves working with students in grades 6-8, high school grade levels, and ages 18-22. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) if they are not already a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Educational Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised internship in school psychology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and mental health services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create supportive learning environments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan for student needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Advocate for students educational and emotional needs.
- Apply ABA principles and techniques in developing behavioral interventions.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of school psychology.
Certifications:
- State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in California.
- National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP) is preferred but not required.
- Candidates not holding a BCBA must have extensive ABA experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful criminal background clearance.
- Successful and/or clear drug screening.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to hire.
