Job Title: School Psychologist

Location: Creston, CA

Job Description: We are seeking a full-time, onsite School Psychologist to join our team in Creston, CA. This itinerant position involves working with students in grades 6-8, high school grade levels, and ages 18-22. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) if they are not already a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised internship in school psychology.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide counseling and mental health services to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create supportive learning environments.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan for student needs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Advocate for students educational and emotional needs.
  • Apply ABA principles and techniques in developing behavioral interventions.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in the field of school psychology.

Certifications:

  • State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in California.
  • National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP) is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates not holding a BCBA must have extensive ABA experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful criminal background clearance.
  • Successful and/or clear drug screening.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to hire.
