Responsibilities:
• Accurate processing of multi-state payroll including union and non-union employees
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and management
• Conduct payroll functions including processing, auditing, and reporting
• Manage benefit functions, ensuring all employee benefits are correctly administered
• Maintain and update employee payroll records in a timely and accurate manner
• Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, ensuring high levels of customer service
• Compliance with payroll laws and regulations to mitigate risks
• Collaborate with the HR team and other departments for payroll-related matters
• Use Ceridian and other accounting software systems for efficient payroll administration
• Manage payroll for under 100 employees, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role within the construction or contractor industry.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now and ADP - Payroll for payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of payroll law and ability to adhere to all relevant regulations.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and payroll for under 100 employees, including knowledge of specific state laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with payroll functions for union employees.
• Proven experience in benefits functions including administration and coordination.
• Ability to process payroll accurately and within set deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with employees and management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
