1st Shift Medical Device Assembler

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, the operator may perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies.
- The operator will spend 95% of their time working on a microscope.
- Routine assignments are performed according to specified and/or standardized procedures, with work being closely and continually reviewed.
- Following safety guidelines and utilizing appropriate safety devices during all operations is required.
- Participation in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics is expected.
- The role requires maintaining accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable, and quality issues can be addressed to assure product quality.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
- Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
- Ability to prioritize work by determining urgency and importance.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a cleanroom setting with a strict dress code to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination. Required dress code for tours during interviews and on the job includes non-shedding clothing free of frayed hems or loose threads. Specific clothing items such as tassels, fringes, glitter, sequins, and loose fibers are not allowed. All clothing from the waist up must fit under a lab coat/gown, and specific requirements apply to head coverings and footwear. The cleanroom environment requires adherence to strict guidelines to ensure a safe and contamination-free workspace.
