Paraprofessional

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to support our K-4th grade students in need of behavioral interventions. This full-time position will provide the opportunity to work closely with students in a structured classroom environment, assisting teachers in implementing behavior management strategies and supporting students' academic and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in providing academic support and behavioral interventions to students in K-4th grade.
• Work directly with students who require individualized behavioral support, implementing strategies to promote positive behavior and academic success.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students, reinforcing lessons and facilitating classroom activities.
• Monitor student behavior and document progress, municating regularly with teachers and support staff.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and structured learning environment.
• Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Assist with classroom management and de-escalation techniques when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working in school-based behavior settings, particularly with elementary-aged students, is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with students who have a variety of learning and behavioral needs.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude toward working with children.
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
