We are now hiring a Special Education Teacher to join our passionate team This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with K-12 students, supporting their unique learning needs and helping them achieve academic and personal success. Key Responsibilities:- Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of K-12 students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to provide comprehensive instruction and support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting lesson plans and strategies as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and learning.
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to help students reach their full potential.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians to keep them informed of student progress and collaborate on support strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development opportunities, and staff collaborations to stay up to date with best practices in special education.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field required.
- Active Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience working with K-12 students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP processes, and classroom management.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
