Job DescriptionJob Description

Seeking a skilled Physician Anesthesiologist to join their team, providing coverage in a supportive community hospital setting.

Practice Setting:


  • Community hospital with 4 ORs, 2 endoscopy sites, and obstetric services
  • Care team model with CRNA supervision; solo on-call duties

Schedule:


  • Day shift: 0700-1600
  • Night shift home call: 1600-0700
  • Weekend 24-hour home call
  • Call rotation: approximately once every 4 weeks

Procedures and Cases:


  • General surgical cases for adults and pediatrics
  • Regional anesthesia, including spinal and epidural
  • Obstetrical cases and acute pain management
  • Insertion of central and arterial lines

Requirements:


  • Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • Maine State License (willing to accept those needing to obtain it)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Credentialing Requirements:


  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
