Job Description

Seeking for two mid level mechanics that will perform service and repairs on truck-mounted vacuum equipment both in the shop and in the field, occasionally traveling for field service and repair calls. Work related to the chassis is limited to performing routine PM inspections and requirements for fuels, fluids, and lubrication.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.(no engine work)
  • Able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics effectively.
  • Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems.
  • Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards and ensure rental equipment is in 'Ready to Rent' status.
  • Perform and document inspections of fleet equipment.
  • Maintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring proper storage of flammable items.
  • Administer DOT inspections.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, pneumatics, hydraulics, preventive maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, valve repair and hydraulic pumps.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience as a mechanic of heavy equipment or industrial equipment
  • Experience with truck-mounted vacuum equipment is preferred.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance, changing hydraulic pumps, and valve repairs.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to climb ladders on trucks and crawl around equipment.
Work Environment

The work environment is a small rental company service shop with a fleet of vacuum excavators. The role requires physical fitness to climb ladders on trucks and crawl around equipment. The shop is well-organized and equipped. The position involves occasional travel for field service and repair calls.

$28-30/hour and Direct Hire and Full benefits

Candidates must be willing to submit to a drug and bac ground check. Must have a clean driving record.

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $62400.00
